El Banco Santander emite deuda senior no preferente en libras a siete años

Madrid, 11 feb (.).- El Banco Santander (MC:) está realizando una emisión de deuda senior no preferente en libras a siete años entre inversores profesionales para reforzar su capital, según datos del mercado.

La emisión de esos títulos se efectuará el próximo 17 de febrero con un tipo de interés ligado a la deuda británica más 140 puntos básicos, pagarán un cupón anual y su importe final todavía es desconocido.

En la colocación de esa deuda no preferente, que se efectuará bajo la legislación española y cotizará en Dublín, participan Deutsche Bank (DE:); Royal Bank of Canada (NYSE:) Capital Markets (RBCCM); Banco Santander y Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD).

Esa deuda, senior no preferente, sirve para facilitar a las entidades el cumplimiento mínimo de fondos propios (capital) que deben poseer para afrontar con sus compromisos en caso de resolución y no haya que recurrir al dinero público.

La acción del Banco Santander bajaba a las 10.30 horas el 0,35 % y se cambiaba a 3,823 euros.
