Sao Paulo, 16 mar (.).- La Bolsa de Sao Paulo interrumpió este lunes sus operaciones por un periodo de media hora después de que su índice referencia se hundiera más de un 12 % transcurridos solo veinte minutos de operaciones, en un nuevo día de pánico global por el coronavirus.

Se trata de la quinta vez en seis días que la plaza brasileña acciona el llamado «circuit breaker», puesto en marcha cuando acumula pérdidas por encima del 10 %, tras una semana negra marcada por la expansión del COVID-19.

En el mercado cambiario, el dólar sigue imparable en Brasil e inició la jornada con una fuerte apreciación del 3,19 %, negociado a 4,966 para la venta en el tipo de cambio comercial.
