Barcelona, 26 oct (.).- Ysios Capital, inversora española en el sector de las ciencias de la vida, ha anunciado el cierre de la ronda de financiación de Serie C de 79 millones de euros en la danesa biotecnológica Galecto Biotech, especializada en el desarrollo de fármacos para el tratamiento de enfermedades graves.

Tras esta ronda de financiación, la socia de Ysios Capital Karen Wagner se ha incorporado en el consejo de administración de la empresa biotecnológica, junto con representantes de los grupos Orbimed, Orbimed Israel y HBM Healthcare Investments que también han liderado la operación con sus respectivas inversiones.

Asimismo, también han participado en la ronda compañías como Bristol Myers-Squibb, Maverick Ventures y Seventure Partners, así como los inversores Novo Seeds, M Ventures y Sunstone Capital, ha precisado Ysios Capital en un comunicado.

Ésta es la decimotercera inversión de Ysios Capital a través de su segundo fondo, Ysios BioFund II Invierte.
